Established in 1954, McKissack Professional Development School is a part of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, which serves more than 73,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools. The school offers educational services to over 250 students in prekindergarten through eighth grade. Its facility includes a library and computer laboratory. The school provides a range of academic and special education programs. It conducts after-school tutorials in reading, writing and mathematics.
