Provided by YP.comGreat and exciting Indian food in a buffet style or for take-out/delivery though third party. Offers basically all one needs when craving Indian food, serving both vegetarians and meat-eaters well.

Provided by YPmobileA great Local restaurant for yummy Indian food. We've only gotten take out so I can't comment on dining in, but we've always been pleased with the quality of the food.

Provided by YPmobileWent in for lunch at 225pm, they are closed from 230-5pm, the YP does not reflect this!
They were kind and let me get a buffet "to go".
Their food has always been good. :-)

Provided by YPmobileI had the chicken vindaloo, lamb korma, garlic naan, mango lassi. One of these gave me a really bad stomach ache and luckily my mother provided me some pepto.
The chicken vindaloo was ok. I've had better. Chicken should be moist and tender, not dry. Wasn't as spicy as they claimed it to be even though I've asked for it to be spicy.
I've never tried lamb before and decided to take a chance with the lamb korma. To my dismay, I didn't enjoy the texture at all.
I had to stop midway during my meal because my tummy didn't like one of the ingredients in the meals. I love Indian food and I'm still trying to figure out what is causing that because I've never had that problem before.
Nevertheless, I won't be coming back to this place. I'm sure there are better entrees that are delicious but I'm a big chicken vindaloo and curry fan and this place wasn't cutting it for me.

Provided by YP.comOur good friends took us hear to eat, and I was blown away by the delicious food! You have got to try the mango chutney, it is SO good. And the Tzatziki sauce is amazing. Probably didn't spell that right but oh well! We live two hours away, and my husband and I are always looking for reasons to go to Nashville just so we can eat at the Sitar! Thank you J & M for showing us this wonderful little place!

Provided by YP.comI have been doing the rounds of Indian restaurants in my quest to find a good one in Nashville. Now, please believe me when i say that I am a curry addict. Hailing from the UK, curry is becoming the British national dish and there are some amazing restaurants to choose from (the best is the El Halal in Aylesbury, Bucks .... just felt I had to give them a mention because I miss them so!!) I LOVE CURRY incase you hadn't got that yet - and I would NEVER have imagined leaving a whole dish of curry - virtually untouched - UNTIL I WENT TO SITAR!! This dish was putrid. It smelled awful and tasted worse, it was so sloppy and unappetizing that I genuinely could not eat it! My husband seemed even more shocked than I when I could not eat any more! I will never go to this place again and if you do then on your own head be it! Anyone who likes this food has no idea of what a good Indian restaurant is like. Goodness knows where the chefs are from but if they've actually been to India I would be very surprised indeed!
