This is a free museum, a hidden gem known mostly to schoolchildren. Currently located in the basement of TPAC, it will move in 2017 to a new building adjacent to the Farmers Market. Great exhibits on settlers and early Tennesseans, along with some weird stuff like a mummy and Mississippian art pottery pieces.

One of our favorite rainy day activities in Nashville. The FREE Tennessee State Museum is really fun to explore with little ones.
