Outstanding food, great environment, and friendly and knowledgable wait staff. There always seems to be a crowd, but it's worth the wait.

Absolutely fantastic food, but very noisy. The sound echos because the dining area is basically just a huge room with tile floors. It's better if you can get a booth because the tables in the middle of the room are where the noise is bothersome (you can hear everyone around you and the noises from the bar and kitchen). The southern style (fried) chicken is amazing!

Always have a good meal here. Sometimes it's too loud. They give good sized portions. I like going for lunch.

If I had a 100 stars to rate this place I might come close to capturing its worth. The wood grilled oysters with the Belle steak entrée literally made my trip to Nashville. Service was awesome & the restaurant itself is a jewel.

Someday, I'm going to have dinner here! As it stands, I've done breakfast (get the brisket...wow) and lunch (crab cakes are wonderful). Drinks: the Zydeco is the BEST drink I've had in town, but fair warning, it has jalapeno heat. :)

Delicious! They have a great menu! They also have a really good Sunday brunch! You can also utilize their valet service which is convenient!

This restaurant is a busy one! I've always had to wait to get a spot, so just know that ahead of time. I really love the food here, though, and it is completely worth getting to spend some extra time in downtown Nashville. :) I know for a fact that their Chicken Fried Chicken, Old South Cheeseburger, and Hotcakes are delicious, and there are still so many more fun dishes to try!

Not the friendliest service by a long shot. ... especially for a restaurant called the southern. Food small portions. I think over priced for the quality. I ordered 6 oysters and when they brought it out I asked if I could upgrade to a dozen. They said couldn't do that since already ordered. Turns out they made it work. But made me feel uncomfortable for asking. I just wanted six more. The menu is very limited. Loud in there.
