Provided by YP.comGood experience while giving birth and the stay thereafter. Though I found the facility itself old fashioned and a bit gloomy (let alone the entrance via the parking garage), the nurses, doctors and other staff (of which we saw many during our stay; there is a constant coming and going of people who check in with you and baby) seemed very knowledgeable, were caring, kind and thorough.

Provided by YP.comFirst off, Vanderbilt is a wonderful hospital most are very professional and the doctors r great I feel they actually care! The nurses like Mrs Bernie and Marina on 8th floor some of the best ever....Only complaint I had was the 6hr wait time in er to even see a Dr and there was a man in the Er with the back of his head bloody and he sit and waited a good 3-5 hrs just to be seen.....Er needs to decide quicker on who is more important patient and not have them waiting 3-6 hrs

Provided by YPmobileI was in a bad Car accident on August 17,2013 and I was Lifeflighted to Vanderbilt. For 3 days I laid in a medically induced coma due to the injuries. Had over 3 surgeries to repair all the broken bones I received from the accident. Upon waking up I didn't know what happened or where I was not to mention I had a breathing tube and couldn't communicate. Scariest feeling in the world. But the staff did their best to keep me calm. I received excellent care from Nursing and Doctors. The only problem I had was the lack of bedside manners my Doctor had but after all he done for me I had other things to worry about and most of all definitely grateful to his amazing work on me. I used to work for this Hospital on the 9th floor and I knew I was in good hands but when you become a patient and not a caregiver it's a hard transition. Life flight ( don't remember anything about that experience But I know they did a great job) Trauma and Critical Care staff were great and I'm truly thankful. So I say to all that was involved with all sincerity, Thank You from the bottom of my heart but from my 3 kids, my mother, and my sister as well. We are all very grateful.

Provided by YP.comThis Hospital has been great, we had a patient in the Trauma Unit for 15 days, and the staff was outstanding, they have professional and caring nurses. We were treated exceptionally well. If you have to be in a trauma unit, this is the only place I would want to be. Not enough superlative's to describe the Unit.

Provided by YP.comEVERYTHGING AT VANDERBILT HOSPITAL IS GREAT WITH ONLY TWO EXCEPTIONS. FIRST LET ME ADD THAT THE NURSES OF THE 6TH FLOOR ROUND WING WHERE MOST OF THE ORTHOPEDIC PATIENTS ARE, HAS THE BEST THEREIS THE BEST THERE WAS AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE NURSING STAFF. ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON THE ORTHOPEDIC TRAUMA DOCTORS THERE, THEY ARE SUPERB, THE BEST, ESPECIALLY DR. WILLIAM TODD OBREMSKEY, F.NP. JULEANNE HUTCHERSON, THEY WHERE AND STILL ARE MY DOCTORS, THEY ARE THE BEST THERE IS THE BEST THERE WAS AND THE BEST ORTHOPEDIC DOC'S THERE EVER WILL BE.
THE ONLY TWO GRIPES I HAVE ABOUT THE HOAPITAL IS THIS, THE FOOD NEEDS TO BE MORE AREA ORIENTATED, FOR EXAMPLE' A CATFISH MEAL, A TRADITONAL SOUTHERN CATFISH MEAL COMES WITH CATFISH, COLESLAW,HUSHPUPPIES, AND WHITE BEANS (GREATNORTHERN), THE WAY WAS SERVED CATFISH DINNER WAS WITH THE CHOICE OF CATFISH, (HARD AS A ALCATRAZ ROCK, A CHOCIE OF VEGITABLES, NO BEANS, ROLLS (NO hp)
ETC....., GET IT RIGHT MAKE THE FOOD WORTH EATING AND WARMER NOT STONE COLD.
THE OTHER LARGE COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THE TELEVISION PROGRAMMING. THERE IS NO, NONE, NADA, SLITCH, GODD TV PROGRAMS , MOST OF THE PROGRAMMING IS C#@*^, TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST AS MUCH MONEY AS WE THE PAITENTS PAY THE HOSPITAL FOR OUR STAY THEY WOULD GET SOME GOOD TV PROGRAMMING, AFTER ALL WHEN YOUR IN THE HOSPITAL YOU DO USUALLY ONE OF TWO THINGS IF YOUR UNABLE TO GET UP AND THAT'S SLEEP OR WATCH TV.
OTHER THAN THAT VANDERBILT IS GREAT.
THANKS
BBJ

Provided by YP.comI did not want to give this business phone number a one star, but it is the only way the screen would let me be "all done".
I just need to say that I have dialed 4 phone numbers (some of them twice) that were listed as Vanderbilt In-patient Hospital, I have either had no answer or the recording said it was Patient Accounting, one recorded said it was another department that was not listed with the phone number that I dialed. These are the numbers that I have dialed and I still have not spoken with anyone on the 8th Floor about my sister. 615-936-0899 and 615-936-2000 and 615-322-2164 and 615-322-0675.
