Provided by YP.comWillow Grove is an excellent choice if :
a) You are one step away from homelessness
b) You don't care about personal property or that of others
c) You don't mind being awakened by neighbors and privy to their daily lives due to the kleenex-grade soundproofing of your home.
d) You are oblivious to your surroundings and immune to headaches and sickness caused by sick buildings.
e) All of the above, and then some.
The primary problem with this place are the residents. Many of these folks park in a manner that is against complex regulations and obstructs free-flowing passage in and out of the community. They park close...unbearably close...to other cars. When there aren't enough spaces close enough to one's apartment, one will simply park in front of the Dumpster. When the garbage truck comes and honks repeatedly, the owner(s) of said car(s) are nowhere to be found. As a consequence, Dumpsters do not get emptied on a regular basis. I have pictures of the time ours went for a MONTH without getting emptied.
When a tenant leaves, it is apparent that the cleaning staff does not clean thoroughly. Rather, they paint over the dirt. There is black mold in quite a few apartments...enough to cause painful headaches and nausea if one stays inside too long.
The laundry facilities are disgusting. Residents do not clean up after themselves...and it seems that the office staff or grounds crew can't be bothered to clean the laundry room at all, let alone on a regular basis. Dried, crusty detergent cakes up all over the machines and the floor, and no one does anything about it, despite the health risks. I have literally walked in and seen a homeless man sleeping on the counter. I'm not even kidding.
The parking lot and grounds are constantly littered with trash and cars in varying states of disrepair. People hit cars and leave the scene. Management states that cars will be towed for blocking access...but, I have yet to see this happen.
Management and office personnel go through the motions, which is what I would expect of people who are running a place like this. Rent checks do not get deposited in a timely fashion. It's not uncommon that my rent check goes a week or more before getting deposited and taken out of my account, and on a handful of occasions, my rent check wasn't deposited for two weeks. Office staff frequently take loooooong lunch breaks during the week, sometimes gone for over two hours. Not a good way to run a railroad, if you ask me.
Also, my neighbor has been living without electricity for months. Again, not kidding. But, on the up-side : You'll have no problem catching a taxi. Every cab driver in the Metropolitan Nashville area lives here.
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, from any walk of life, under any circumstances. If you're looking at this place because it's convenient and cheap, please remember that you get what you pay for and shell out a little more for your new place. Apartments are a dime a dozen...and these aren't worth the shoddy foundations upon which they were built.

Provided by YP.comI can not say enough great things about this apartment complex. We needed a short term lease and they were one of the few apartments in the area that offered affordable short term leases. The rates are reasonable, the grounds are lovely. They have a Pool and Work out room. We really liked the location because it was half way between Donelson and Downtown Nashville and right by Interstates 24 and 40. I have lived in Nashville all my life and believe that this is the Best Value for Price Amenities and Location!
