The National City Public Library, administered by the City of National City in California, serves the educational and recreational needs of the residents of the community. The library maintains a selection of books and informational resources for children, adults and senior citizens. Additionally, it operates a bookstore. The National City Public Library provides a variety of volunteer opportunities. The library organizes children's poetry workshops, as well as administers the WOWmobile Literacy Program for families with children up to the age of 5. It offers library cards to issue books, magazines, music CDs and DVDs for several days. The National City Public Library also hosts writing, music, art and talent competitions for teenagers and young adults.
