I used to use AAA Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, HOWEVER, after my last incident I will never call them or recommend them at all. At one time they were reliable and pricing was fair. It has new owners. A different person showed up and did he stick it to me. I have used them before and usually the problem is the motor relay or the motor control unit. It cost about 65.00 to 75.00 dollars TOTAL COST. This guy comes over and he says it's the motor relay. I tell him go ahead and replace it. When he's done he hands me a bill for $325.00. I told him are you nuts? He said that's what it is. I argued and he lowered it 10% to 292.50.... BIG DEAL! Then he has the audacity of telling me that he checked the outside unit and it was slightly low on freon and the cost to add more would be 500.00 dollar, yes folks I am right he said FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. At that point I told him to leave: "immediately". When a company has the blatant boldness to overcharge to such a high degree "they are not in it for the long haul". They just want a quick buck and then get out of the business. Must have an alternative plan setup, but it sure isn't being in the A/C business.
