VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

I called yesterday to have my septic tank pumped out, the toilet was running slow, but wasn't backed up when I had made the appt.. Originally my husband had called and scheduled someone else, but they were expensive. Looking for a better deal, I called several companies on the YP list and found A&L SEPTIC SVC. to be the cheapest. I scheduled with A&L, and cancelled my husband's choice. (BIG MISTAKE!) When I made the appt. A&L told me the driver would call and let me know what time he'll be here. By 12pm, I hadn't heard from anyone. I called the office, the girl, (very nice, aside from not calling me back to let me know what was going on, it wasn't her fault.), said she'd try calling the driver and she'd call me back. I waited about a half hour, still no callback, so, I called again. The girl said she'd try calling driver again and put me on hold...for 11 mins. and now my phone battery was dying. I hung up, called her back to give her my cellphone number and that's when she again mentioned the phone trouble, and that he'd be here in abt a half hour. An hour later, no one showed up. I waited another 90 mins and I called again, the girl was surprised he wasn't here yet, she'll try calling him again, and kept telling me they were having problems with their phones today.

Once again she said she'd try calling him and would call me when she got in touch with him, but not to worry, he works late. By around 4:30. I still hadn't heard anything,..I called once again, by now my septic is backed up. Guy answered, I explain that my system is backed up and now not working! He tells me they work late into the night, and assured me he would be here. At 6:23pm phone rings! I'm expecting to hear, "I'm on the way,... instead I get the guy telling me he's very sorry, but, he won't be getting here today, telling me how sorry he is...blah, blah, blah! He'll be here tomorrow. I told him forget it, I won't recommend him to anyone, and I would put a review online. After all this aggravation, I had to go online to find someone who would show up, after calling down the YP list, another company offered to be here at 6am, if I couldn't find anyone else to show up tonight.(Guess who I'll be calling next time!) Thankfully, I did find someone who'll be here between 8-8:30pm, tonight! (FINALLY SOMEONE CAN GIVE ME A TIME...AND THEY CALLED...AND THEY SHOWED UP!!!)

In the long run,...calling A&L didn't save me money! The company my husband called was going to charge $249/1000gals, A&L was going to charge me $199/1000gals. Now, I'm paying an emergency service $411/1000gal.

My opinion? Instead of trying to save money, be wise and save yourself from the aggravation of waiting hours and wasting an entire day expecting someone who's never going to show up, and only call when it's too late to find someone else except the emergency service! Learn from my mistake,...call someone else!

After note:Emergency service called back last night and was here before 9pm. And this morning,...A & L called this morning, to see if we wanted him to come over this morning...REALLY?
