Provided by YP.comThis place is absolutely horrible. I very much regret ordering from Academy Floral and I hope I can save others the trouble with this review. I placed an order for a "Godiva® Milk Chocolate Expressions" gift basket as a gift for my husband on our wedding anniversary. The basket description on the website is as follows:
"Item Description: Godiva® milk chocolate is famous around the world for exquisitely rich, silky smooth milk chocolate. For the milk chocolate lover in your life, this premium assortment is sure to delight. Indulge them with milk chocolate gems, chocolate cashews, milk chocolate almonds, milk chocolate with caramel bar, 31% cacao chocolate bar, milk chocolate gems truffles and Godiva® Signature chocolate biscuits. Simply exquisite!"
I placed my order online and paid a total of $81.65 for the basket and delivery. I then called the day of my order around noon to verify that my order went through and that my basket would be delivered to my husband. The woman I spoke to verified that my order was in the system and said that it would be delivered shortly. She did not make any mention that there were problems with inventory or that there would be any substitutions made in my order. When my husband received the basket he was touched but we didn't go into detail about the things that were in it. I found out later in the day that he had not in fact received the basket I ordered. What he ultimately received was a hodge-podge of crappy snack bags and candy bars that may as well have been scooped up at random from a gas station register. Not only was the trademarked "Godiva Expressions" basket not full of the Godiva chocolates it was advertised to contain, it was filled with items of substantially lower quality and kind. I did not order my husband an assorted gas station snack basket; I ordered a chocolate basket - and a luxury chocolate basket at that. What he received on our anniversary was a supermarket grab bag that you'd throw together and give to an acquaintance. The items in this basket were unacceptable, especially for the occasion for which they were ordered.
I contacted Academy Floral the very next day and informed them of this significant disparity between their advertisement and what my husband got (they closed before I could call, the day of) and the woman I spoke with, Gloria, informed me, very rudely, that I shouldn't have expected to be able to get a Godiva chocolate basket at the price I paid; as if their website hadn't clearly stated that this assortment was available at that price. She claimed that she was only authorized to give me a 20% discount so I left my number with her in hopes that the business owner, Sal, would contact me.
It ultimately took over two months and I called Academy Floral back well over 6 times. Each time I called I was given the run-around with claims that the right person I needed to talk to was not in the office. At one point I spoke to Joe, Sal's brother, and he promised that I would receive a 35% refund on my credit card. When this was not posted I called back and an employee named Kim took down my credit card number saying she had spoken to Sal and that he had indicated he would be putting my refund through. After that conversation it took another few weeks and more calls before any refund was ever posted and, even then, the refund I received was less than I was promised. I ultimately got $12 back. I am extremely frustrated with and disappointed in this company's abysmal business practices and lack of integrity.
All in all, the employees and managers were rude to me, dishonest, and shameless about their false advertising.
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

Provided by YP.comAbsolutely terrible. Ordered flowers well in advance of Valentine's Day, flowers were delivered the day after Valentine's. The florist has not returned any of 4 emails that I have since sent but had no trouble charging my card for the full amount. Please do not make the same mistake that I did...use another florist!!!

Provided by YP.comAvoid at all costs! I don't understand how it as such a high average on this site?. My Valentines day flowers arrived four days late, every other review site I've looked at has bad review for this place apart from this one??
Ridiculous customer service (I just got through to them on the 17th and they hung up the phone!).
Don't even consider using them, they fooled a lot of people this year.From what I've read from other reviewers their excuse was 5 of their trucks broke down on Valentines day. An absolute joke!

Provided by YP.comThe service at Academy Floral is hurrible. The staff is very rude and not professional. I received flowers from my husband on our anniversary. When the flowers came they weren't fresh. They died the following day. I called the store and I was told I am sorry there is nothing we can do and hung up the phone on me. This is not the proper way to speak to customers. I would never received such feedback from 1-800 flowers. Never again would I order from this website again and would definately not recommand anyone to order from them.
