After the Rain first formed in 2006 with lead guitarist Jake Standrige. Added to the band was drummer Jeff Rounder Johnson. In search for new vocals the band brought in Mike Thomas Patton. He joined the band in 2008. The finishing piece of the puzzle was Wes "the gypsy" Reding on bass. Wes was added in April 2009. Drummer, Jeff Rounder Johnson died in the spring of 2010 after a 6 year fight with cancer. With Billy Shoemaker as ATR's new drummer, ATR is set to make their way back to the stage with Seventh Day Slumber in May. After the Rain is currently in preproduction recording. The title of the new album has not been decided however, the release date is scheduled for July 2010.
