Provided by YPmobileWhat a dirtbag bunch of legal criminals. I can only hope that the State Attorney Generals Office gets a copy of this complaint because these people need to be brought into custody on crimes against the citizens of this community.
It was less than 48 hours ago that I brought a friend to her new place (1115 Chugach Wy, Anchorage, Ak. 99507). It was around 5:00 am when we arrived, she informed me to park in her assigned space which was clearly marked. We both exited my vehicle (2006 Ford Expedition XLT) I am a former Desert Storm Army Combat Ranger with disabled veteran license plates.
Approximately, 2 hours later I left her tiny efficiency apt. that was in utter condition all throughout the unit. As I walked down these steps (14-20) some of which were loose almost to the point of flipping over. I then looked around for my vehicle but, to my amazement it was not there. Less than two minutes later some lady with make up running down her face appeared with a couple of young (20-25) y.o. men. She then gave me a look like she was so surprised at my obvious look of confusion/concern that she then asked me if I was looking for something I then responded; Yes, my truck! . Her immediate reply; was it a white ford expedition? Well, it was towed for not having a sticker in the window. You will have to call the towing company we don't have anything to do with them. I responded who was the towing company? I then walked around to the front of the bldg. to notice a little 20" sign stating; Absolutely No Parking - AK Towing - there phone number. That was it no other signs posted anywhere throughout the complex.
After I contacted AK Towing, the wan working was extremely rude and hard charging in her tone & manner. She advised me that the amount to get my vehicle back was $375.00 and that it was non-negotiable, I had to bring the exact amount because they did not give change. She then informed me that I appeared to be rather angry and that when I could "cool" off I could contact her later! She then hung up on me.
I filmed the entire location/property with my iPhone for documentation that was yesterday 08-28-2013 at 8:30 am. Well, earlier this evening I went back to the same location (walking there) to notice that a number of new big shiny signs were now bolted to the outside bldg. walls.
I have a copy of the lease agreement & policy rules and there is not one section anywhere that states anything about requiring either a tenant or visitor to brandish a tag in there vehicle so as they will not get towed.
I reviewed several of the former complaints against this outfit that it virtually made me sick reading all the complaints.
I can only pray that the judge not only realizes what happened to those others as well as I, that he issues a order of suspension to that organized racket.

Provided by YP.comVery unethical business practices. They towed 2 small dirtbikes and 1 4-wheeler all in the same trip but charged mileage and separate fees for each vehicle even though it was ONE single tow trip! - basically triple charging! Fees charged were more than they had on file with the Municipality of Anchorage. We also had a very difficult time getting them to release the dirt bikes. The vehicles were towed late on a Friday and we tried to retrieve as soon as possible - Monday. After a run-around about the required paperwork the bikes were released by mid-week. It cost over $900. just to get the two dirt bikes released, the 4 wheeler belonged to another person. I would give ZERO stars if that was allowed!
