Provided by YP.comThis is a new location near HEB and it's always nice to go see a movie in a brand new theater. It's very nicely decorated on the inside. When I went the staff was friendly to me and my wife. They have leather chairs that were pretty comfortable, I just wish they would have reclined. The movie sounded good and it was a pretty large theater. Overall it is a cool experience being able to reserve your seats ahead of time so you don't have to arrive early.

Provided by YP.comMy family and I received $60 worth of gift cards for this place a while back. The cards got tucked away and a little over a year later I stumble across them and decide to redeem one on a movie. I go to their website to check the balance on the cards and found the link buggy and generally confounding. I call the number provided and ask the employee if they can pull the balance on the cards for me. He says yes and after a few minutes, tells me I have $20, $2.75 and $10 respectively. I ask again if he's sure they'll redeem them even though the cards are over a year old, he assures me they will. So I hop in the car drive across town to the South Lamar location and plop down the card to the guy at the counter. He pushes the card back at me and says "these are expired dude, they've got Backlot here on the back. We ain't issued those in forever". So I tell him the phone story and he says he don't make the rules...sorry! I tell him that kinda stinks don't ya think, and turn to leave when he adds oh so sarcastically "have a nice day buddy!".
This is somewhat of a neighbor friendly establishment I thought, so it's especially disappointing to learn they use the same "breakage" marketing mind set as the mega mall stores and credit card bilkers. I say it's very simple, someone pays you for a service, you provide it. A one year expiration on my cash is unacceptable. You've let down you're end of the bargain and for it, bought a lot of very negative advertising for yourself. Have a nice day, buddy!

Provided by YP.comThis is a great place to go to treat yourself to a unique movie experience. The ticket prices were still within reason $15 for two, and the food and drink prices were resonable too. We tried to go on a Friday night and everything was sold out, the man at the ticket counter told us if we wanted to see any movie on a weekend night we would need to purchase tickets well in advance. We did. The next night we showed up at 7:30 for our 7:40 showing and there were signs all over the place notifying would be patrons that all of the nights shows were sold out. We walked in the door, past the ticket counter, into the crowded theater all without even a bother of someone trying to check our tickets. The screens are big, the seats are comfortable, the floors are kept reasonably clean, and the service is quick. Make sure you show up early.
