Nick, the owner of the company, came out to

initially pump the tank. When he had uncovered it,

he found an opening cover that was shattered and

replace poorly by the last company that had

pumped the tank. He dug further and found several

cracks in the cement and that the baffle had

collapsed. He showed me what he had found and

recommended the tank be replaced. We scheduled

the replacement for the next week.

He and his men arrived on schedule and completed

the replacement work in one day. Nick and his

foreman are both licensed for the work that was

done. We did have some problems. We are in a

location with a lot of hidden ledge. They hit ledge

before they could dig as deep as they wanted for

the new tank. The ledge also prevented them from

orienting the tank in the best possible position to

maintain the contour of the slope in the yard. Nick

and his foreman explained the possibilities and I

accepted that the position would change the slope

of the yard where the tank was placed.

Nick returned several times over the next two weeks

to inspect the system to insure that it was working

properly. When he was satisfied that it was, he and

his helper closed up the small inspection openings

he had left and we were good to go.

One fact that I should add that speaks to his credit.

I paid Nick in full when the bulk of the work was

done. Even though he was paid, he still returned to

ensure that there were no problems and to finish the

final landscaping. Not every contractor would be

this trustworthy.

We have used Al's Septic Service for over 16 years. Our former septic service recommended the company to us. We were very surprised to meet Al the first time. He was a very pleasant, polite, fair and honest man. He charged us 1/3 of what we had been paying the other service!! We couldn't believe the difference in price. We told him we paid much more than that and he must have been mistaken, but he repeated the price again. We enjoyed seeing him come to the house. He was more like a friend to us than just someone performing a service and always had the great smile and strong handshake.. When Al died in 2007 his son Nick took over. We had seen Nick before as he had pumped our tank a few times. Nick is just as friendly, fair and honest as his Dad was. You will be treated as a friend not just a client. You can trust Nick to take care of all of your septic needs. He is highly dependable, which is very important. We would recommend him to everyone that needs any of his services. The owner is very honest! Five years ago, other company suggested that I needed a new septic system, then I called Al 'sSeptic, he put a new tank and replaced a couple pipes. After all, I did not need a new septic system. He saved me a lot of money. He is very reliable in all aspects of the business. His emergency call price is lower than othe companies. AL'S SEPTIC...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
