About Attorney Maria R. Altieri Born and raised in Bridgeport, CT, Attorney Altieri was educated in local schools, receiving her B.S. in Biology from Fairfield University. She attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, receiving her Juris Doctor, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in June, 1984 and the Connecticut Bar in November, 1984. Attorney Altieri was employed by various firms in the Boston area and returned to Connecticut in May, 1986 to open her own practice. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. She has also served in the Superior Court as an Attorney Trial Referee, which means she has been able to hear certain cases and make decisions for the court. She is licensed as an attorney as well as a real estate broker in both Connecticut and Massachusetts.
