Dan was hired by another contractor (that I hired) to tear down my house without my knowledge. He did not reveal himself to me nor advise me that he would be doing the work on behalf of that contractor. I never knew he existed. I never hired him and he never had a contract with me to do this work.



When the work was done, I paid the contractor that I hired upon completion of the work (which was slow to start and not delivered on time). That contractor did not pay Dan. Dan turned around and then liened my property! Yet...he continues to work for the contactor I hired.



My mistake was to hire the contractor I hired. Dan's mistake was to take on this job with the full knowledge that he hasn't been paid by this contractor on a previous job. So rather than not take the job, he drags me in to his mess and liens me. Unethical and unfair in my opinion. The amazing part is Dan is still working with this other contractor while my property sits in limbo.



Why he chooses to drag me in to his mess, I just don't understand.



In order to post this, I must check a star when I would rather not. He doesn't merit a star in my opinion.
