In 1993, Aqua Chlor was an established company of respected pool maintenance experts with an expansive customer base. The then-owner decided to sell the company in order to devote more time to his growing pool construction business, and, what could be more natural than turning to friend and fellow pool service owner John Wallace of Swim Chem? Wallace was already a renowned veteran of the industry himself having established Swim Chem in 1970 and focusing exclusively on pool and spa maintenance since 1973. Wallace recognized the value and potential of expanding his northern California market share and the company was reborn as Aqua Chlor by Swim Chem! Today the Swim Chem family of companies remains family owned with a second and even third generation of the Wallace family participating in the leadership and day-to-day operation of the business. We continue to offer the same great regular service that John Wallace was committed to, and customers continue to respond enthusiastically, making Aqua Chlor by Swim Chem one of the most widely known and respected service companies in our area. The size of the Swim Chem companies enables us to purchase chemicals and equipment in bulk, often at a savings not available to smaller companies, a savings that we then pass on to our customers to keep our rates super low!
