DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR (Joe Reek)!!!! He brags about how honest he is and tells you what a good job he’ll do. Do not believe him. He’ll have inexperienced people doing the work and the finished job will reflect it. Once you’ve paid him he will not come back as promised to fix problems and he will no longer answer your phone calls.

I hired him to re-cap an existing drive at my home and add a circular drive in front of my home. I explained that there was a low area that collected rain near the front porch where the new drive would go and asked that he make sure the new drive was graded to correct the problem. He assured me that he would take care of it and that water would not collect there on the new drive. I should have gotten that promise in writing.

The re-caped drive looks ok, but it has a lot of ridges in it from the roller. He did a very poor grading job on the new drive. It looks like it has several small speed bumps and dips in it. I did not realize how bad it was until it rained, which unfortunately was the day after I paid for the job. There are several big dips that make big pools of water. The area in front of the porch I spoke with him about before hiring him is the biggest pool of all. Before the drive was put in the water would soak into the ground. Now it sits in pools on top of the new drive.

I called Joe, he said he’d be out the next day to take care of it. I called the next day when he did not show up. He said he was sick but would be out later in the week. That was over a week ago. He has not shown up, does not answer the phone, and does not respond to multiple daily voice messages.

Avoid this dishonest incompetent contractor!

Joe Reek is very honest!I've had him do many jobs for me and my family and friends! He always has done a great job and priced right! Even letting me know if i need a drain put in when others didn't! I give this company 5 stars! They have been in business over 40 years! I have only Joe to thank for such great work!!!
