Many inspectors will state they are licensed, but they generally mean they have a builders license, not a home inspector's license. There is a huge difference. Michigan has no licensing standards or requirements. That is why I have been licensed as a home inspector in Wisconsin since 1999. You should also check out a home inspector's website.
