Best facility made me feel comfortable during a tough time in my life. Staff was genuine and food was good. They don't push groups which I liked- bayridge helped me regroup and made me feel like I'm back in control of my life. I would recommend to friends and family.

Recently I was a patient at Bayridge Hospital. While there I witnessed the staff put patients in restraints in the quiet room who were neither of harm to themselves or others. Obviously this was an easy way out for them. I also saw the staff chemically restrain patients, which is to overmedicate them on purpose with Thorazine or other meds to the point in which they can barely walk or talk. I've worked at psychiatric facilities. Never have seen this kind of treatment. I was appalled. In this day in age this shouldn't be happening. There have been complaints against the hospital with the Mass. Dept. of Mental Health (DMH). Nothing has been done. Probably because they're understaffed. I would never go to this facility again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone! S

I spent 4 days there for detox by the 3rd day I was dope sick & I told the Dr I was sick. He told me that's the protocol, so they discharged me the next day but unfortunately for me I was not fully detoxed I should of just stayed home & kicked in my own bed because that's what I'm doing anyway. They have no clue how to detox people off of opiates or benzodiazepines. I gave them 2 stars only because the nurses & direct care staff are awesome they really care but the Drs. have no clue. If you want to get clean go somewhere else.
