Awful company, RUN, as fast as you can away. Here's how our nightmare began. i inquired about new siding and new windows. A rep from Bell construction came out, brought two siding samples one a brown shake and a pink shake. at the time of our meeting, I stressed to him i wanted a gray, neutral tone stone siding to go with the existing siding, a slate blue with white entrance railing and white trim elsewhere. He kept insisting i don't want stone and he will not allow me to put that on my house. I trusted his recommendation to go with brown vinyl shakes. before work began i called the Field Rep and told him I dont want to go with the brown shakes, it reminds me of an outhouse and the colors do not match the existing. He told me again the brown shakes will be nice. I called the company that supplies their siding and asked a salesperson to please bring me siding samples for me to view since the Bell construction field rep was unresponsive to my concerns and didn't care to listen to my request. The Lumber Rep brought out siding samples and i chose a gray, white neutral stone siding and the rep agreed it would look nice. i told Bell construction field rep and showed him the sample. He insisted I don't want that and stated " no one puts that on a house." The day of work, the workers showed up and a couple stated that the brown shakes do not match anything else and I told them that is what i said but since the Field rep does this all the time, I'm trusting his recommendation, so work began. I questioned the installers and one said he has never installed siding and another said he hasn't installed siding in a long time, and I quote " its like riding a bike, once you do it once, you never forget" I called Bell C and asked him to please come over. I asked him about the workers and experience which he reassured me of their expertise. Once the work was completed, I noticed how awful everything looked. The trim around the water hose bibs were so poorly cut, about to fall off, the siding was dropping, the aluminum trim around the garage and windows was poorly installed, every nail showed and the caulking around everything, especially the windows was so poorly applied, gaps and holes everywhere. I called the owner of Bell Construction which came out with another employee. We discussed this and he at that time he informed me that the Field Rep was not in fact a field rep and should not have been on this job as site manager or anything to do with over seeing this job, but rather he was an inside office salesman. The owner stated the siding was put on incorrectly and the caulking was applied very badly. He will send a worker out to remove and replace the siding and cut the hose trim correctly. Ignored the window caulking



REPLACEMENT WINDOWS:



i stressed at the time i hired Bell Construction to install replacement windows in my home, i want to be sure when the windows are installed, THEY ARE SEALED. After the windows were installed my concern was the terrible application of caulking around the windows and the miter cuts were so bad water was surely going to get in. I pointed this out to the owner when he came out. Nothing was done. I called the owner and stressed i want these items fixed before I pay the balance off. He got very angry and told me its done and i owe. Different construction companies I have contacted for home improvement help have noticed right away the very poor caulking and cuts around the windows and problems will occur. When i reached out to Bell construction, they do not want to acknowledge, correct any concerns i have and very rude. I have contacted them to fix the seal around the windows when i found the water damage inside when i removed my window curtains. Yes, everything I was hesitant about was a nightmare come true because I choose Bell Construction and put my trust into them. They refuse and make every excuse not to accept responsibility. BEWARE.
