The smartest place to bank isn’t a bank. It’s Bellco.  Bellco is a progressive, member-owned credit union with a full range of financial services. Bellco is different. While banks focus on their shareholders and their stock value, Bellco exists to serve our members, not ourselves. Which means we charge you less and give you more. Unlike a for-profit bank, we return our profits to our members in the form of lower rates on loans, higher interest on deposits, and better services. And you’ll like knowing you’re doing business with one of the largest credit unions in Colorado. Founded in 1936, Bellco has over 194,000 members and over $2 billion in assets. We actively support the community, donating funds and employee volunteer hours to many health and family-related causes.

Four years ago I dumped chase bank. Since I am a veteran I opened my checking and savings accounts at USAA. They are a great bank, however there are times I need to deposit cash, get money orders,or withdraw significant amounts of cash. A difficult task when the only USAA bank is in Colorado Springs.

I found Bellco offered free ATM services and other assistance to USAA Members. They also delivered fast, professional, courteous, assistance every time I entered their credit union. That is when I decided to open a checking and savings account at Bellco as well, so anytime I needed any in person banking assistance I had a branch a mile from my house. It was an excellent decision!

Whether I am buying or selling a large ticket item, Bellco has been there for me every time. They also offer some of the highest rates on CD's, Money Market Accounts, and 4.5 % APY on their Boost Checking Account! Come on Man! The other Big Business Banks chase you away and charge fee's for everything. Right now they are paying a whopping .01% interest on your accounts and then charging you a fee. Come on over to a Colorado Non Profit Credit Union that serves it's customers!

On June 28, 2012 I noticed an ...

On June 28, 2012 I noticed an unauthorized debit card charge for $79. Bellco closed the card and stated a new card would be sent within 5 biz days. A week later no card. Upon calling Bellco Customer Service, they stated they had not ordered the card from their 3rd party vendor in Fla. They made a mistake. They indicated they would expidite a rush order for a replacement card and I would have the card in 3-4 biz days. I never recieved the card in that time frame. I called again and was told they didn't know what was wrong. They said a rush order now would take 7-10 biz days. It is now 3 weeks and I still don't have a replacement card. They claimed the card would be sent Fed Ex. When asked if a signature would be required, they didn't know !! When asked for a tracking number, they couldn't provide one ! Excuse, excuse, excuse ! Bad enough my card security was comprimised yet alone dealing with incompetant customer service women.
