Doris Mitchell is the owner/operator of Better Gardens Landscaping. Born and raised in Germany, she earned her Abitur and served in a horticulture apprenticeship before meeting her husband who was serving in the U.S. Army. She is quadra lingual speaking English, French, Spanish and German. The family moved to their present home in 1989. Doris earned her A.S. Degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Business at Monterey Peninsula College and is a licensed California landscape contractor. The crew at Better Gardens consists of 10 skilled craftsmen and maintenance gardeners. Employee turnover is low with the average worker having been employed for 7 years at Better Gardens.
