Prices reflect that everything is homemade, even if your in a small town or not. When everything is individually made, not out of a can, or over processed. When you go to the effort to grind grain in a stone mill, using fresh eggs and honey you are going to pay more... I have had her pies, you're right they are AMAZING, but when your pie weighs over 4 lbs, talk about loaded with flavor. I have had frozen pies from Walmart that barely have an apple in them. So if you want a walmart price with her quality... your not going to get it. So many bakeries advertise fresh baked... which can be a little miss leading. Considering that their stuff comes in frozen, then they just bake it there. Big Brick House is not an assembly line. It is made fresh for you, to your dietry needs.

We had pies made for Thanksgiving and yes---the apple pie was AMAZING, pecan was good, but neither were worth the price. For such a small town, it was way overpriced. We won't be returning---very tasty though.
