Bloomfield Township Police Department provides law enforcement services to the Bloomfield Hills communities. It responds to emergency calls, accidents, and other police-related matters. The department has more than 70 police officers and over 20 civilian personnel. It offers a variety of services, such as bike patrol, case investigation, gun registration, crime prevention and emergency readiness services to the residents. The department also offers community services that include bicycle licensing, child fingerprinting, child safety seat inspection, a citizens watch program, premise surveys and police clearance letters. It also provides speakers and police station tours. It has a traffic division that monitors traffic enforcement and accident investigations services.
