Software developers are in high demand in the treasure valley. Surrounding areas and the world. However. There is a severe lack of qualified developers with real world coding SKILLS. EVERYONE knows that technology changes fast and many of the traditional colleges DO NOT have the flexibility to update their curriculum AS often AS the needs of the workplace. This has caused a large GAP between industry professionals and college graduates. Traditional students are SO busy learning antiquated information for classes that they are NOT ready for the demands of the workplace by the time they graduate. Employers DO NOT have the time or resources to teach these graduates the skills needed to survive in the WORKPLACE. MANY online resources exist for learning to code but trying to teach yourself CAN BE nearly impossible. These online resources cannot provide the ONE on ONE help needed to GET past the learning barriers that often cause people to give UP. The other problem with learning to code online is there is almost NO credibility or networking with people in your area.
