It is our intent to ensure that the staff of our daycare and childcare facilities are well trained in the field of early child education. Our caregivers are competent in first aid and CPR training to ensure the health and safety of the children at all times.

I have been impressed.

I have been taking my child to Building Kidz for the past two years and my experience has been very pleasant overall. What sets them apart is not only their academics but also classes in performing arts, computers, and spanish. I talk to the teachers openly on a routine basis and they welcome all my feedback, be it positive or negative. I love that about them.

My child has made many friends and has opened up a lot socially.

I am really impressed by all the things they offer to young kids. When they told me, they do broadway productions, I thought how could my child be on stage? but when I saw the show, I was truly amazed. Same thing with computer tots.

The fact is that they do everything they promise and are constantly improving the facility.

I love the school, the teachers and everything they have to offer.

Got to go see it for yourself

I do not agree. I have three children between the ages of 6months-4 years and my experience has been quite the opposite. I fully trust the school for providing a nurturing and stimulating environment to my three kids. Even after enrolling with BK I visited other centers and concluded that I would not find a better school for my kids. Every school has its moments and your experience could be one of those moments. But after 3.5years with BK i can only say I love the school, the staff and the all inclusive program they have. Where would you get dance/theater/music/meals/computers all under one roof at no additional charge. I recommend that anybody interested should go and visit the school and form their own opinion.

Not impressed with what I saw

I am looking for daycare for my infant son & had read the reviews prior to visiting the San Mateo facitlity. I thought I would still give them a chance even though I had read quite a few negative reviews. Upon visiting the site, I heard several crying toddlers on the playground. I actually heard a teacher say " I wish you would just hush up, or shut up"; not sure exactly which words were used. The teacher did not try to comfort the children at all. Upon meeting the director, I decided I did not think it was the best place for my infant. Upon leaving the facility, I told the director what I had heard, she did sound concerned and seemed to genuinely care, however she is not the one taking care of the children. When I was leaving another toddler was crying uncontrollably, and no one paid her any attention. I made a comment to the director and asked if it was their policy to let the children cry. Her reply was...she is teething. It may be the facility for some of you, but I would never leave my infant in a facility that does not believe in comforting a crying child or a child in pain. At least a toddler can tell you if their teacher is unkind, my infant would not be able to tell me if somethig was wrong. I also question how much experience the teachers at the center actually have. I was surprised that none of the teachers interact with the children in the play area and instead complain about the crying. I was not impressed in anyway and would never reccomend this facility to any of my friends or family. I do not run a daycare and my story is factual not fiction! Check the place out for yourself around 10:30am, when the kids are all outside, and unfortunately you will see what I saw. Best of luck to all of you who are still looking for daycare....like me!! I did like Ganon Center in San Mateo and am leaning towards their facility. I did not notice any of these problems on my first visit. Plan to take my husband to visit it next week. The staff seemed to love their jobs and also really seemed to care about the infants as they took care of them. You may want to check that facility out in San Mateo.

Wow!!!!

My child has been going here for two years and I feel fortunate that I found them. The place has a lot to offer besides just good nurturing. I don't need to worry about taking my child for other activities. Building kidz offers challenging curriculum, computer tots, music, dance and theatre lessons which takes off lot of my stress. The staff is very friendly and eager to help. The Director goes out of her way to resolve issues. What more can one expect. I am and have been very content with their service.
