I have baby fine, thin hair and until I meet Betsy 15+ years ago, it was always a dreaded thing to get a haircut...I never knew how it would turn out. Then a friend referred me to Betsy, the rest is history! Somehow she magically, CONSISTENTLY cuts my hair just right and makes me look like I have 100% thicker hair! Not with product or a bunch of spray just the cut itself. Everyone has a stylist that gets it right most of the time but not once have I ever not had the cut exactly like I wanted. Over these years people have stopped me in various places and asked “who cuts your hair?”, then next time I’ll ask Betsy if someone from wherever had come in, the answer is always yes and I can honestly say, each of them are still her clients!
I would recommend them to anyone! Also, after your first appointment or two and you have an idea of how much time your appointment will take, you can plan on that timeframe each time with enough confidence to even book a lunch break appointment and be back to the office on time! They always run on-time; again, this is based on 15 years experience! I know most salons have very comfortable and crowded waiting areas because they are always running late.
One last important fact that I think makes them so excellent is when you make an appointment with someone, you are with them from beginning to end! This allows them to see your style when you arrive and begin dialogue about your desired cut, color, and general expectations. This discussion continues because your stylist will then be the one who does your shampoo. However, there have been times when a color or perm timer expires and someone else shampoos, but that’s the exception. I appreciate this personal touch because now they know firsthand how your hair responds. Meeting a stylist the first time with a wet, toweled hair…well doesn’t make much sense as they don’t know my “normal” and then I have about 2-3 minutes while they comb my wet hair to tell them what I want, ask their opinion, ask for suggestions, etc. Now is where in the past, the prayer would begin!:) Pray they get it right or at least close because my baby fine hair also grows really slow and I’m going to have to live with that 2-3 minute discussion for about 2-2 ½ months!
Personal, timely, reasonably priced, consistent service is what sets this salon and its team apart. Well, I’ve shared my opinion, and hopefully for your next appointment you will remember Capelli and give them a try. Fair warning though, you’ll be hooked, they are out to spoil you and they will!
