Great Washington DC Furnished Apartments on Capitol Hill

The location is great: one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Washington, and definitely the best area on Capitol Hill. The area is one of the best (and safest) walking neighborhoods in the District.

Plenty of green space (National Mall, Capitol Hill Parks, etc.) within easy walking distance. The apartment is just steps away from the Capitol, National Mall, Eastern Market, several parks, and less than ten minute walk to two different metro lines.

The newly renovated 8th Street corridor is also very close, as are plenty of necessities like dry cleaners, corner markets, etc. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished (the kitchen is well appointed as well), and include free Direct TV and wireless Internet access. Customer Service was excellent, and the lease terms are flexible.

I stayed in Apt. 1 of the 6th and A St. property for close to 4 months and had all of the comforts of home...but with an even nicer kitchen and bathroom! The apartment was perfect for my needs - private, quiet, with a parking spot and a gated yard for my dog Henry.

My husband and I were so spoiled living so near the metro station and Eastern Market and all of the great dog friendly parks, that it really was tough to go back home.

Rent this apartment, you will not regret it!

Temporary lodging Washington DC

I was assigned to an extended assignment with my government agency in Washington, so I was looking for a nice furnished apartment or extended stay temporary housing in Washington DC.

A friend referred me to Capitol Hill Stay.

Staying with Capitol Hill Stay was a fantastic experience! The apartment was gorgeous and provided the opportunity to really get a D.C. experience...every day I walked by the Supreme Court building and Capitol and past beautiful historic homes in Capitol Hill! And on the weekends, I was a few short blocks to the National Mall and enjoyed sight-seeing and running past some of our Nation's most beautiful and historic monuments and museums.

This apartment is in a gorgeous building, and with it's very high ceilings, the space feels enormous. I loved the setting of this building because it's nestled within so many beautiful historic Capitol Hill homes. The front yard and porch provide a great place to sit with your morning coffee or evening wine!

Here's what I can say about my Capitol Hill Stay: From my experience, I found the area to be extremely safe and very inviting.

If you are looking for Washington DC temporary lodging, I'd recommend Capitol Hill Stay.

Highly Recommended Temporary Furnished Apartment in Washington DC

First, I want to apologize for my delay in thanking you for hosting me this past year. The task of finding temporary lodging in the DC area seemed daunting at the outset. Fortunately, those worries quickly subsided when I came across Capitol Hill Stay. It didn't take me long to make a decision where to call home for most of 2009. I was on loan to the U.S. Senate and working on health care reform for most of 2009. Your website provided an honest view of each of your facilities. As you know, I chose 226 4th St NE, Apt 1!

I thought I'd point out a few of my favorites regarding my apartment. The number one thing I liked about my apartment was the location. I was within a few blocks of everything (i.e. Senate buildings, Supreme Court, Union Station, Eastern Market, kid friendly park, restaurants, The Capitol, Metro stops, mail drop off, grocery stores and the dry cleaners. I also appreciated the cleanliness and contemporary feel of the apartment (i.e. the granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and up-scale furniture). I also liked that I could get a hold of you quickly for routine maintenance issues when necessary.

I might point out that although the apartment is on a busy street, it is well policed. I have two small kids that stayed with me almost half of the 9 months I was on the Hill. We crossed the street to the park almost daily without one single incident. Law enforcement's presence kept the speeding to a minimum and vandals at bay. The fact that the Capitol Police are well camped out on most corners in that area speaks volumes for the security and orderliness of the environment. I couldn't have felt more safe with my family in tow.

Please feel free to use all or a part of this brief "thank you" as you see fit. I know my stay and work on the Hill wouldn't have been as enjoyable had I not stayed in a safe, clean and ideal place such as yours at 226 4th Street! My only regret is not having the money to buy it and stay forever!

Furnished housing DC review

I've stayed with Capitol Hill Stay twice - first in 2003 for a couple months, then again in 2005 for almost a year. The best part about CHS is that the apartments are extremely well located - 2 metro stops, tons of restaurants and bars and easy access to pretty much everywhere. Another great advantage was that Capitol Hill Stay worked with the State Department's complicated sliding scale per diem, something most Capitol Hill companies can't be bothered with. The (Junior 1 BR) apartments themselves were great - compact but up to date, stylish and with a built in "home" feel you just can't get in a hotel. Highly recommended.‎

Washington DC corporate housing alternative

Washington DC corporate furnished housing review for Capitol Hill Stay.

Capitol Hill Stay has been excellent. The location, amenities, and customer service allow them to stand out above the rest for a superb place to stay. You can't beat the location. Close to two metro lines, historic neighborhood, walking distance to many different sights, and an overall unique experience. The properties are very well maintained. The furniture and appliances are all top of the line which makes for a rather comfortable stay. The customer service was great. It's nice to know that a quick e-mail regarding any sort of issues is quickly responded directly from the owner. They were quite flexible about lease length and worked around my government per diem. I had a great and unique experience and would highly recommend Capitol Hill Stay.‎

Awesome place

I have to say that there is no better way to stay in DC than with CHS. I stayed in the studio at 300 A NE from January to April 2010, the furnishings as well as the fit and finish of the apartment are outstanding. The location can't be beat with a three block walk to the Capitol. It is very comfortable and the front patio is a great place to relax after the work day and watch the neighbors walk by (and all the neighbors are very friendly). I never felt uncomfortable in the neighborhood, between neighbors and the law enforcement near by there wasn't anything to worry about.

The owners are very responsive to any issues and during the great 2010 snow storm they made every effort to keep the walks cleared and kept all the tenants informed about conditions and that they'd come by as soon as the weather allowed. Being able to walk to many of the main museums and most of the Smithsonian sights was incredible and a big bonus. The short walk to either the Capitol South or Union Station Metro was great too, as was access to Amtrak at Union Station. If I am back in DC I hope that there is a place open so I can stay with them again.
