Excessive damage done to my home.Sloppy unfinished work. Unsupervised unprofessional unskilled workers.I consider Carey Painting a fly-by-night operation. A PO box is listed with no home address. A worker was fired.One was a part time student.Owner didnt work on project until worker was fired.Owner called in sick.No written contract.Owner hasnt provided revised invoice. Owner refused to deduct for all damages.He threatened lawyer if no payment within 30 days.Completion date delayed several times.I returned to find worker and girlfriend inside alone & not working.They wanted me to hire them. I gave house key to owner. It was hidden outside without my knowledge.Owner mailed it to me weeks later.Owner changed paint without my knowledge. Electric outlets/switches/wiring spray painted & must be replaced.Cable wires/cords were painted. Cable tec claimed vandalism & charged for service.Floors and brick hearth were not covered.Doors/trim/tack strips spray painted without removing sanding dust leaving them rough/frosty. 1/3 of living room floor spray painted & is now rough & gritty.Carpet rep couldnt guarantee glue would adhere during installation.Washer/Dryer were moved and not properly reconnected.Dryer was scratched. Washer leaked & lint from loose dryer vent spread throughout house & stuck to gritty painted areas.Owner could not fix problem.Repairman found hose gasket missing.It was found on floor in another room.Owner claimed they were checked.Owner stated no damage was done & no work was unfinished.A chair was put outside on grass for days during bad weather.Canned goods & furniture put outside with temps from below freezing to 80 degrees.A wall was dented. Trim was damaged, some has no paint, some has dried paint drips & lumpy dried paint. Cigarette butts & partially eaten food thrown outside around house. Interior door hardware removed, wetted,placed in plastic bags to rust. Front/back porch aggregate coated with white sanding dust. Owner did not remove their trash.
