Chef Ramsel Castro was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. Inspired by his mother's traditional Caribbean cooking, at the young age of 6 years old he developed a passion for cooking. He went on to pursue his career in Culinary Arts where he later earned his degree from the Art Institute of Seattle in 2009. รข?? After graduating he began working at Purple Cafe where he gained experience for five years and improved his knowledge of French/ Italian cuisine. He then transitioned to the Executive Chef position at Bake's Place in Bellevue. Two years later he was offered the Head Chef position at Hotel Sorrento where he was able to obtain knowledge and pursue his catering passion.
