I have a merchant that I have been doing business with for 8 years. He was holding checks for me because my unemployment decreased. He was to deposit the checks 9/13/11 but my pay date changed to 9/20/11 so I called the store and he was not there but his employee said she would let him know. She forgot to and the checks were deposited into bank. I called him the same day and he went into his bank and told them to not redeposit them but to send checks back to him. I went in on the 20th and paid him for all the checks and he gave me a receipt and told me when he got the checks back he would let me know. Well his bank "BofA" never sent the checks to him but to Checks and Judgement for collection now they want me to send them $535.43 for checks I already paid and they will not send checks back to merchant.
