Information Services ensures that user departments are supported with current technology and expertise with a system that is responsive to future technological improvements. The division maintains and manages city's computer systems, including mainframe, personal computers and network infrastructure. It handles purchasing forms and contracts relating to data processing services. Information Services assists with that management and coordination of programs and operations of the information system through the administration of contract agreements with outside consultant who provides services. The division additionally assists with preparing and monitoring request for proposals for contact services, evaluate responses, conducts cost benefit analysis and prepares staff reports. Information Services is operated by the City of Anaheim, Calif., which additionally manages fire and police departments.
