When I moved into this school zone I heard a lot of positive things about this school. Years later my child started school there. I have never felt so pushed out of the way. This school wants the parents to not be to involved. They just want you to drop of and pick them up, and they want your funds. I have a child with special needs I have to be very involved. I am my child's voice. They are not special needs friendly. They are very ignorant to the fact that you know your child better than anyone and the extremes you go through everyday just to make your child better. The office staff and principal are not very nice. It is all about who you know and how much money you have. My expectations of this school have been disappointed very greatly. They always make out like everything is ok and your child is fine. Every answer is very generic. They have no training whatsoever in main streaming a special needs child. There needs to be more awareness put out there so the child can benefit. I think this really hurts the children more than they are aware. They are not compassionate or interested in that aspect of their school. They will put on a show like they truly care but they don't take the time to know your child or the potential they may have. They don't care if they pass or fail in the future. So if you have a special needs child I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. Think again about moving in this zone. Maybe this school is ok for children without special needs I don't know. I hope this helps someone bc I went in very blinded. I am so tried of fighting for my child. It shouldn't have to be that way.
