I had a fairly great experience with Colonial Van Lines. From start to finish the process was explained in detail, the team remained in contact with me, and the movers arrived near schedule. Everyone was very professional and answered any questions I may have had. The only downside, it would have been nice to remain in touch with the same person from start to finish. Having multiple people call made it more challenging to keep up with. Nevertheless, I would still highly recommend.

I had an exceptional, positive experience with Colonial Van Lines from the inception with this moving service provider. The quote and initial inventory process was executed professionally and efficiently with an extremely fair price for a 1400 mile move across the continental United States. The pick-up, move, and deliveries were all done within the proposed time windows. There was nothing damaged since all items were well stowed and wrapped with blankets and tape. The movers were professional, courteous, and extremely accommodating to all our needs and in constant communication during the entire move. Not only will I use Colonial van Lines for all my future moving service needs. It is my sincere intention to strongly recommend Colonial Van Lines to family and friends for all their moving service needs as well.

This is my 4th move with colonial van lines so far since my work had me travel a bit. Every move they are very diligent and make sure to
communicate with me every step of the way.

My initial review of Colonial was a warning: to avoid them. At all cost. And it does take a while to get over the trauma of long-distance moving. Were it not for Donna, the ombudsman at Colonial, I would be thinking "I woulda, coulda ,shoulda hired a big name brand mover. I didn't. The move was, for me, a nightmare. I won't go into details, but after talking to Donna, I calmed down a bit. Time does heal, I think, even after the trauma of moving. I give the 5 stars here to Donna, who understood and sympathized with my griefs and complaints. And who negotiated a monetary settlement that I could feel better about what I had experienced. And all this while, Donna had experienced her own and far more traumatic grief that anyone could ever have: the loss of her child. I wish we could return the compassion, the sympathy and the healing that Donna has provided to so many of us. And it is with my prayers and love I send to Donna, and pray that her time of grief be healed and the kindness returned to her that she has given, so generously, to others.
