D and D Garage doors was started by two brothers, Dallas & Denver who were taught the value of honesty, integrity and hard work at a very early age. They started out by installing garage doors from their Dads garage in 1991. Their hard work resulted in their first purchase of another company, Shank Garage Doors in Sarasota. Customers started asked them to service their Garage Doors and Openers further south resulting in the second purchase, Charlotte Overhead Doors in Port Charlotte. They then started another company to continue their growth south, Cape Coral Overhead Doors in Cape Coral. In May 2001, answering the calls from more and more customers, they jumped to the East coast and started an office in Port St Lucie with their cousins Connie & Todd. Then headed north to Ocala and Jacksonville. In June 2009 they joined Mickey Mouse and added another new company in Orlando. In 2010 they incorporated Omega Garage Doors into the mix. By January 2011 they had expanded again, this time into Daytona merging Elite Overhead & United Door Solutions into the D&D Family. Their marketing area today starts at the corporate headquarters in Sarasota, then south through Collier County, east to Palm Beach County, north through Port St Lucie, Palm Bay, continuing north to Jacksonville, back west to Orlando, then on to Ocala and up to Lake City, then south to Tampa and St Pete and back to headquarters.
