I would gladly give them less ...

I would gladly give them less than one star if I could. This company was horrible. My Realtor recommended them to install an A/C Unit on a home I was buying.

Their communication was pitiful: Dave, the manager of D2K, would not return my emails or phone calls promptly if at all. And by "promptly" I mean within 48 hours. He couldn't tell me what brand of A/C unit he would install. He couldn't give me the 16 SEER unit I wanted, only 14 SEER was the best he could hope to obtain. We had to postpone our close of escrow because D2K would not respond or commit to an installation date.

Their craftsmanship was a joke!

I specifically asked the manager, Dave at D2K, to confirm that the A/C ducts would be properly sealed to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. He said "of course." 2 Years later, my A/C blower motor goes out. Luckily it's under warranty, but still costs $350 in labor. What do we find out? The return and supply air ducts to the unit were not sealed. They weren't even attached!! There was a 1/2" to 3/4" inch gap between the ducts and the unit. So, essentially my unit was sucking in hot dirty air from outside and putting colder air outside and into my house. No wonder it my utility bills so still so high and why the blow motor died.

On top of that. . .

D2K did not plug up the screwholes from the old A/C unit which then cause water damage in my attic after it rained.

The wires that connected to the thermostat from the A/C were secured by only wire-nuts and tucked into the A/C frame. This left wires exposed to the elements including water which could easily short circuit things.

The first winter we were in the house the heat wouldn't turn on. I called D2K; they send out 2 men that don't speak any English and are not exactly looking very professional. It was fixed amazingly, but that says something about the company when it looks like they are probably subcontracting out their jobs to potentially illegal immigrants just to save a buck. (For the record, I have nothing against most illegal immigrants).

By the way, I have pictures and receipts of everything if anyone disagrees with this review. AND i gave D2K the opportunity to resolve this matter with me before I posted this review, but they ignored me again. Go figure. . .
