Provided by YP.comthought that this was the place I would feel safest for my daughter, considering my son attended here years ago and loved it. A lot like the other recent reviews, this place is on a down hill spiral. I withdrew my child two weeks ago, when I discovered some disturbing news. My child had moved up a class, and was only in the new room for one week, I started noticing some behavioral changes, she cried her eyes out every morning begging me not to leave her. My gut told me something was up. Sure enough my daughter came to me telling me the teacher pinched her and hurt her. I went for review of the tapes saw enough to know this teacher was harmfully grabbing my child as well as others. I withdrew my daughter the same day. I also signed a statement saying I would no longer pay for tuition at this school. Considering this was a Monday, and I had already paid for her time there. I then receive a letter from the owner stating I owe 450.00 and that if I do not pay it, I am being taken to magistrate court. There was never any concern for my child from them, only a brush under the rug as if I was over reacting. It was also stated and proven from BRIGHT FROM THE START (Its like dfacs for daycares) That they are being cited because they conducted an investigation after what happened to my child and indeed confirmed it was happening to multiple children!! I am furious and fed up. These people only care about your money, not your child. The woman who was being physically harmful to the children was still working there after the accusations originally started! I want other parents to be aware, this place is a joke. Not once has anyone attempted to make things right after what happened to my child, and I am sure the other children. But yet a letter threatening me with court if I don't pay for money that isn't even owed. They should be shut down. I have since enrolled my daughter else where and she is a totally different child and happy. Steer Clear of this place parents!

Provided by YP.comThis was my first experience with a daycare, so despite being a little uncomfortable with certain things I witnessed at this daycare, I was not sure what was considered normal or acceptable. For example, TWICE I had friends pick up my child on my behalf with NO ONE asking them for ID or even asking who they were. Both times my friends were able to walk right into a classroom without anyone stopping them and take my child. But the straw that broke the camel's back was when they allowed my child to vomit three times and sit in a crib in only a diaper without calling me to come pick him up. I just walked into his classroom and found him that way. It was traumatizing. Even worse, after I made the obvious decision to remove my child from their care, the owner refused to return my money that I had paid in advance despite the awful negligence on their part. Terrible experience.

Provided by YP.comAt Dacula Academy we take all reviews and parents comments seriously. Our three year old teacher brought this past review to our attention and was disappointed. We have not had a three year girl withdraw from our program since before August and that was because her family moved to Buford GA. Our 3 and 4 year old teachers are degreed, experienced and professional educators. There ages are 28, 32 & 32. We digitally record all of our classrooms, playgrounds, pool and lobby areas. This recording is available for parents to review up to 15 days. When touring this center you are shown this equipment and made aware of each camera in the facility. Every child development center has a different philosophy and mission. We hope that parents would tour each facility in the area and make sure it supports your family’s needs. We ask that you visit our website www.daculaacademy.com to get more information. We hope that no one chooses a child development center based on what someone can write on the internet. We have an open door policy and after 15 years of working in the Dacula Community our parents come back to visit years later. If this review is real, we would love an opportunity for this person to contact us to clear up any misunderstandings they may have had here at Dacula Academy.

Provided by YP.comDo not send your children here! The facility lacks cleanliness and the staff is unprofessional especially the owners. Most of the employees are un-trained kids. My 3 year old was hit by another child and no incident report was written. She had a big bruise over her eye. Teachers claimed to not know what happened. Parents should never have to worry about the safety of their children at a daycare. Jana made more excuses than resolution. We transferred our kids out of this daycare!!! Great Beginnings is the BETTER choice for parents in Dacula. Take a tour of both and see for yourself. The owners there are top-notch! We are very happy with our new choice at Great Beginnings NOT Dacula Academy.

Provided by YP.comThis is an amazing center that is a service of love. They don't just believe in pouring into the children but the famlies attached to the children. Everything they do is to prepare the kids to leave the nest. They teach them to transition to different classrooms, how to ride the school bus, serving themselves at the table and cleaning up. They provide parents night out after already watching our children all day, so mom and dad can get some time together without worrying about their childs safety. The school activities are planned to teach them as well as keep their interest. There is always someone (usually Mandy's smile) at the door watching everyone that comes in the door. They serve coffee and local parents magazines to the parents. They serve wholesome fresh food. Ms. Laurie (PreK) has amazing patience and love for all the children, no matter how demanding their behavior. My son was in Primerose as a baby and we moved never to find a center good enough again, until we moved here. I am more pleased here than I was at Primerose. Lawrenceville was supposed to be a temporary stop until we found a place in Roswell, but because of Dacula Academy, we will be staying right here.

Provided by YP.comDacula Academy was a wonderful experience for all of our children during their preschool years. Not only did they offer a great learning environment but my children made lasting friendships with their classmates AND teachers. Tim and Janna are both very involved in the community and to this day my kids (twins 12 and son 14) are excited to see them in the halls of their school or elsewhere. They always take time to stop and catch up on how things are going. I know first hand how difficult it can be trying to please everyone, especially when you're dealing with someone's children. Parents can be very difficult and many times lose site of what is most important with their children because they're too busy complaining and blaming. If you're unhappy, go somewhere else. But as for my family, we count ourselves fortunate to have had Dacula Academy as the launching pad to our children's education. Our time was extremely positive and I would recommend them to anyone. I wish them many more years of continued success!

Provided by YP.comAt Dacula Academy many long hours are spent on getting to know each child and their family personally. We serve an average of 350 families each year and have successfully met their family’s needs. We all know that with such a diverse society we are not able to meet the needs of all no matter how hard we try. In recent months we have watched how our society has become unstable and many administrators, educators, bus drivers, children and parents have suffered. We have seen our communities pull together and support each other through uncertain times. No matter how untruthful or outrageous others become we must and will continue to provide our community with resources that will strengthen our families and our communities. We invite all to come and meet with us to see for yourself the truth and professionalism the staff at Dacula Academy has to offer. Feel free to reach out to me directly for any concerns or comments.
