Provided by YP.comMy mom went to have new brakes put on her PT, and not knowing much about cars she paid Mr Peter Hamilton 120 dollars for a pair of brake pads.
The pads didn't fit, and when she tried to return them, he told her that they had a no return policy . The sign was up in their SHOP and nowhere visible to actual customers.....
He yelled at my mom and told her basically that she was out of luck...
So he took advantage of a woman that knew nothing about cars, and gave her the wrong part just to pocket 100$ from a cheap pair of 20$ brakes that I found online.
You take a risk bringing your car here.

Provided by YP.comThis is a copy of a letter that I sent to the owner, Peter Hamilton. Today business is all about customer service, treat the customer kindly and they'll keep coming back. Well Peter Hamilton himself treated me horribly on two occasions. I will never do business with the company again and I advise everyone to avoid it.
Peter Hamilton,
I am writing because in the past year I have done business with Delhi Motor Company twice, and both times I was not satisfied. The first time occurred in February 2010. My front tires popped so I brought the car in to have two tires put on. You spoke to my father and said that you’d take good care of it since you’ve had a long running business relationship. The tires were put on and the car was parked in a snow bank. When my boyfriend showed up to pick up the car you told him to shovel it out himself, this was not very professional of your dealership. We paid you $200. The car was driven home and a week later both tires were completely flat. It was brought to my mechanic and we were told that the seals were bad and had to pay for two more tires. So that’s how your dealership treats people who they have a strong business relationship with?
Then, last night, Saturday January 22, 2011 you showed up with a wrecker to tow away our broken down car. You said were called by the Sheriff’s office. As you pulled up the Jeep was being loaded onto our flatbed that came from Kingston. Instead of calling the car “gone on arrival” you fought tooth and nail to get any amount of money out of us. I explained that we were two broke college students and asked you to have a heart but that was too much to ask. Your exact words were "that's not my problem". We did not have the $75 to pay you. We explained that in my boyfriends wallet was the last $50 we had. You took it with a smile. I hope that you saved that fifty dollars, you should put it in a frame. I hope it really meant a lot to you because you took it from two struggling kids, with a big grin across your face. I hope one day that you learn that there is a difference between business and compassion.
From this day on I will advise all of my fellow students in Delhi and Oneonta, friends and family to avoid doing business with you and your unprofessional company. On your website you claim to be a “third generation family run business” made up of neighbors and friends. You should either revise that statement or change the way you do your business because I was not treated like a neighbor or a friend.
