Provided by YP.comWent in for a 2nd half cleaning 1/11/16.
After casually mentioning to the hygienist that I had experienced some sensitivity/tenderness under a crown they had done 3 months prior, (with Dr Harris Who is absolutely awesome!!) but was no longer an issue. This turned into 2 x-rays and Dr Edward Mooring coming in asking questions about the swelling I had and whether it was a cold sensitivity or a hot sensitivity.... not listening to my repeated assertions that A) I never said "swelling" and B)it was no longer an issue.
He then gets huffy and says 'well if you're not going to answer any questions so that I can put together a good referral for Dr. Stoffa (Who?, she's not even in this practice) then I guess we're done here' I said..." yup..... you can roll on" and he left.
Only after he leaves and they try to give me the referral, which I declined, do I find out he was trying to get me to buy into a root canal at another practice on the tooth behind the crowned tooth "Before" they would resume the cleaning. Ok, I don't get how the 2 are connected. But... no matter.
The guy has a horrible chair-side manner. He doesn't know how to listen to his patients.
Go somewhere else, spend your money where it's gonna count.
The staff I thought was very professional and dedicated to patient care. He, on the other hand is another story.
On Thursday 1/14/16 after this incident, I received a Separation of Patient from Practice letter via U.S. mail and Registered mail. Basically I was fired. How childish and unprofessional can you get? All because I didn't sit there and say yes sir, yes sir 3 bags full....I get terminated from Dental Works in Winston. I'd say I'm better off.

Provided by YPmobileI have been to better offices. The staff is ok, the female dentist was a bit rude. If you can find somewhere else to go, do so. I have had several other dentists that were really good, just not pleased with this lady.

Provided by YP.comBeware you will get billed when told there won't be a charge for consultation!!! I even confirmed with the lady up front beforehand and was told "no charge unless I wanted to add a screening". I did not do the screening. Later a bill arrived and was told I had to pay it. Very disappointing

Provided by YP.comI have not had the opportunity to even get an appointment there. I just spoke with a lady on the phone to ask if they took my insurance, so I could possibly make a dentist appointment. When I asked the lady said that she thought they did but was not 100% sure. I asked her to check for me because I did not want to make an appointment until I knew for sure. She said that the lady that knew wasn't at the desk and said to call back later. I asked when I should call back, and she rudely responded that she didn't know, just call back later. I then asked if I could leave a message for the woman who did know whether or not they took my insurance and she rudely stated no and that I "just needed to call back later." I was not impressed at all, and I will not be making an appointment and I would not recommend anyone else to either. I mean if the secretary is that rude, then I don't want to think about if I had actually made an appointment.
