The YWCA Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is a program that includes assistance for individuals affected with abusive relationships. It offers a range of education, legal advocacy and youth violence prevention services. The program features individual, family and group counseling services for adults and children in the areas of family interaction, sexual assault and incest. The YWCA Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services maintains an emergency shelter that provides support and assistance related to food, clothing and child care. It also conducts parenting workshops on various topics, including discipline, self-esteem and child development. The YWCA Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is administered by the YWCA of Greater Flint, which is an agency of the United Way. The YWCA of Greater Flint is located in Flint, Mich.
