Born and raised in Talbot County, my wife Cheryl and I have deep roots in the dirt. Our background was farming, each raised on farms in the area. It was no surprise that I took over my father's manager position on the farm when he passed away. After the owners decided to quit farming on their property in the 80's however, I followed my dream to become an Excavation Contractor on a small basis. My wife and I may have left the fields of the farm, but in doing so we decided to create a small, but very detailed business that allowed us to get our hands into yet another kind dirt. Our Excavation Business started with a six-wheel farm truck, a couple of farm tractors, and a few attachments. In our 25 years of established business, we have grown to twelve pieces of motorized equipment and just about any attachments needed to get any excavation job completed in a professional manner. No job is too small or large, and we handle each job in our own special way - with care. We handle our business differently than most excavation companies. We meet with you, go over your project, personally hand you the proposal, and do the work ourselves. If additional help is needed we will hire a subcontractor to assist, but I am still the key proponent - personally arriving and completing the job with my equipment every day. We handle all types of grading and excavation needs from new road installation (small or large), repairing existing roads by means of grading with a motor grader, applying material, re-grading with motor grader, compacting with a vibratory roller, ditching or drainage of any nature, excavation, bulldozing, demolition, ponds, storm related cleanups, lawn grading and seeding, or anything else that is required - plus delivery of all your aggregate, top soil, and sand needs. We do our very best to listen to our customers needs and answer questions that they may have, explaining in detail my opinions on how I believe your needs should be handled and why I feel it is the best course of action. The challenge of a difficult job is our specialty. We complete every detail impeccably and in a professional manner while respecting their property as if it were our own. It is our greatest hope in life to be one of the very best excavator companies by taking pride in the quality of our work, rather than the size of our business. Every day, we work hard to stay true to this achievement while we work with many other contractors as well as our customer base in order to create the best of grade.
