I find it helpful to stay with a company that I've used in the past and does good work at a fair price. I've always used Door Doctor... had both the spring coils replaced in past years... good service fair price. Apparently Door Doctor has changed as I recently called to have a lift cable replaced. A pair of these cables can be purchased at Home Depot for under $10 and Door Doctor service tech replaced it in under 10 minutes and the charge was $84 plus $60 for the cable total $144. I called other companies that were no higher than $94. All I can say is make sure you get a second opinion before they come out. I'm done with Door Doctor.

Scott called to say he would arrive at 3:30. He arrived promptly, and quickly assessed my broken transmitter. He then replaced it, tested it, and did a total inspection of my garage door. I was very happy with the service call, and would use this company again in the future.

I called Door Doctor yesterday and was told that a technician would be here late in the afternoon. Just after 5:00 pm I received a call from Scott telling me what time he would be here and he showed up at that time. He recommended the correct repair, but said it would take about an hour and a half to complete. I told him that if he wanted to reschedule and come back during the day it would be fine, but he said he would be glad to do it then so I let him. It was our coldest night so far and he worked well past dark to finish. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and did an excellent job.

My garage door broke and Door Doctor came the day and time I wanted! I was shocked that the door was fixed right a way and at a reasonable price!

I called Door Doctor for what I thought was an impossible situation that would most likely require a whole new door and a lot of work to get the old one down. I was expecting a huge bill and a lot of work and told them so from the outset. Within an hour, a tech was at my home. Shortly after that, and I mean very shortly, probably less than 30 minutes, my door was working perfectly. Total cost was $78. They could have sold me a new door or a major repair but were honest and more than fair. I don't think I've ever written an online review of anything before but this crew deserve the effort. They're by far the best!!
