Buyer beware, priced a new sprinkler system at $4000. made 1 phone call and received bid for $2900 from another well-reviewed irrigation company. if you choose to use them get at least one other estimate. you'll be glad you did.

Called Dowd Irrigation to give me a quote on a new sprinkler system for my home I just built in Basking Ridge. Was concerned about getting a knowledgeable person to do this as we have a well, not city water, and have low pressure issues. The owner showed up for the estimate and said he had over 20 years experience... and it showed. He not only knew the history of wells in my area but how to overcome my issues. Got some quotes from some other firms but Dowd won me over as a reputable firm that would deliver a good product and stand behind it. Dowd did an excellent installation of the system and the owner worked with his men the entire day. Quite happy and impressed with this firm. Would recommend to anyone. I also plan to have them install landscape lighting around the pool in the spring. The products Dowd uses are top of the line and Dowd's service is prompt. Rate company 5 stars.

I was actually quite surprised at the good service and the prompt call back from this firm. My experiences with others in this industry was very bad. Dowd responded to my phone call promptly, scheduled a service appt. and repaired the issue with one trip to my home. He had just about every conceivable part on his service truck and said he had over 20 yrs of experience in the field.... and it showed. Price was reasonable and service was prompt and excellent. I have contracted with them for any further maintenence I may require and would recommend this firm A++

My lawn died this summer and we had to spend a lot of money of repairs and replacement of dead landscape plants. We called Dowd Irrigation and Mr Dowd came out and spent about an hour with us showing us his products and a complete drawing and design of the proposed system. Other contractors spent 5 minutes with us or just dropped an estimate in the mailbox. We hired Dowd and was quite impressed with the speed of the 1 day install and the lack of much damage to our existing good areas of the grass. Mr Dowd was on site during the entire install working with the men and that was the main reason we hired Dowd. He was there and the job went well. We are extremely pleased with Dowd and our landscape is looking great. We highly recommend this vendor and the Hunter products he uses. Mr Dowd's price was reasonable and the middle estimate we had received.
