ECM Transport, Inc began on September 27, 1988 with one truck driver's dream. That dream included higher standards for quality of service, on time delivery and exemplary customer service. The first terminal was located in Oakmont, PA. The humble beginnings fostered a desire for growth that spawned the acquisition of 16 acres in New Kensington, PA in June 1995. This is where the corporate office stands today, high on the hillside, overlooking the dock, garage, and lot. Presently, the fleet consists of 450 drivers, 450 tractors, and 1,700 trailers. The first terminal added was in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. In the years to follow, ECM added more terminals across the eastern United States. ECM Transport is a truckload carrier with approximately 500 employees based primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Jersey. ECM operates approximately 450 tractors, 1,750 trailers, 45 dry-bulk tankers, and has additional equipment resources through the use of owner operators and a brokerage division. ECM's tractor fleet averages a low 2.5 years in service. All drivers are 100 % Hazmatcertified. ECM services customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic States including, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Indiana, Chicago, Illinois, New York City metro area; including the five boroughs, Long Island, and sections of Michigan.
