Provided by YPmobileThey texted me to say would be there at 9;30 am, called my 85 yr old Mother on my lunch hour and they still had not picked up the car. Called Suburu Roadside service and told they would be there at 1pm. Service mgr called them at 5:10pm and at 7:45pm I get a call and car still in Lansing instead of Grand Rapids. Asked why and he didn't know but wanted my credit card. They never tried to call me all day when it could have been there. Terrible communication

Elite shows up at my accident. The first thing I ask the driver is "how much do you guys charge?" His response "Do you have insurance?"
"yes"
"do you have full coverage?"
"yes"
"oh then your insurance will cover it."
this man even looked at my insurance card.
Then i ask him, "where are you guys located?"
he begins to give me roads and side streets so i then ask "well what is the name of the place?" he tells me "well there is no name." UH RED FLAG ONE! i give him a funny look and he mumbles something about Elite Towing. I let him hook up my car and then my brother and I proceed to follow him to the nearest exit to get off the highway where the accident happened so i can finish filling out paper work. I then ask him " do you guys take cars to houses?" he tells me "absolutely", I ask, "well then can you just drive this to my parents house where it will be getting fixed?" He says " yes, but first i have to take it to the garage so i can get paid."
so we follow him to the garage where i am under the impression we are checking the car in and then taking it directly to my parents. (mind you I have never had to have my car towed before and this is about 7:00 pm on a saturday night, i was expecting this place to still be open). BUT GUESS WHAT!? it wasnt! and the driver immediately pulls in, opens a garage door and proceeds to put my car inside. I told myself to stay calm even though all of what was happening was seeming awfully shady. I let the man park my car in the garage. I then asked him before i left, "will you guys be open tomorrow (sunday) and will i be able to pick my car up then?" he tells me yes to both. i asked him "what time will you guys be open?" he begins to "uhhhhhhhhh" me, then tells me "um in the afternoon, uh yea we should be open in the afternoon."
mind you i had to be at work at 4:30 pm on sunday evening so i asked him "will you guys be open by 1:00 pm?" he tells me "yes, we will be open then."
I leave and return the following day at exactly 1:00 pm on sunday afternoon...walk up to the doors...sign on the door says "OPEN"...DOORS ARE LOCKED! no lights are on, scheduling sign on the door reads that on sundays their hours are 4pm-8pm!!!! im furious, i will not be able to pick my car up this day. that means not only did my car sit here for one unnecessary night but it sat there for two! i ask my parents to then pick my car up for me monday morning and i receive a phone call from my mother telling me my total was $240!!!!!! and that my insurance was only going to be covering $50 of that. The most ridiculous thing to hear after all of the other lies i was told. I call Elite on tuesday to let them know EXACTLY what happened, told them how many times i was misinformed by THEIR employee and when asked what could be done for me i was given "well nothing."
he tells me his rates for a tow in (WHICH WAS LESS THEN 3 MILES!!) is $130! then i was charged $30 a night for my car sitting in their garage and then charged $50 for them to tow the car to my parents home which was maybe a mile down the road.
My car never even should have been hooked up to their truck, if i was truthfully informed of their rates WHEN I ASKED, i would have called someone else. I was lied to repeatedly and taken advantage of because that man knew if he told me the truth he never would have gotten my business. But OBVIOUSLY the employees at Elite are trained to lie because when asked to be reimbursed for all of the trouble and money that never should have been given to them all i received was "WELL NOTHING"!!!
DO NOT USE ELITE TOWING! IF THEY SHOW UP AT YOUR ACCIDENT YOURE BETTER OFF PUSHING YOUR CAR WHERE YOU NEED IT!

Provided by YP.comI wish I could give 0 stars. Honestly the WORST company I have ever dealt with. It is a long story but we needed a tow and since our insurance company would pay for the hookup at the first 12 miles we were expecting a $20 bill just to pay for the additional milage beyond the first 12 miles. Because we were at work we asked if they would come pick up our keys so they could bring the vehicle back to our house by the time we got home. Long story short they showed up with a $172 bill! $172!!!! And they never even had the courtesy to call and say "we know you are expected a $20 bill but it will be more than that". Not to mention they charge $4 which is ridiculous considering all other local companies charge $2 a mile. Oh, and it took them 2 and 1/2 hours to two the car 20 miles. What a joke!
Then we proceeded to call the company and try and work it out and the manager/owner was such a jerk! He kept saying "oh honey calm down", and yelling at us over the phone. I was so disgusted. If you are looking to pay three times as much as you would with any other company and be treated like crap this is the company for you.
