History East Texas Oxygen Company (ETOX) was founded in 1957 in Tyler, Texas by J. C. Wynne, Sr. ETOX acted as a wholesaler of acetylene gas which it manufactured, and also packaged oxygen, nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, helium, and hydrogen into high-pressure cylinders. In addition, ETOX purchased and warehoused welding equipment and associated products, which it resold to its own retail branches and independent welding supply distributorships. Over the past 50 years, ETOX has opened or acquired branch offices throughout Texas and Western Louisiana to help serve you better. To complement its own sales in different markets, ETOX has signed on independent welding supply distributors throughout East Texas and supplies them with wholesale gases and welding products. The net results is that ETOX serves markets throughout East Texas, bordered on the west at Terrell and Waco, TX, on the north at Sulphur Springs, TX, on the east at Texarkana, TX, and Bossier City, LA, and in the south at Jasper, TX.
