Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Curt and Alma started building mountain homes in 1981. In 1984, they moved to Denver and continued building custom homes. Three children and a couple of restaurants later, Curt began a long career with US Home in 1992. As senior vice president, he founded the Laureate Homes luxury homes division for US Home in 1996. While in that position, he built show homes in the 1999, 2000 and 2002 Parade of Homes. Alma was the founder and president of Legacy Construction Management, specializing in commercial tenant improvements. Home improvement is about more than blueprints, codes and schedules.
