Fallbrook Public Utility District operates as a public agency under the Public Utility District Act of the state of California. Fallbrook Public Utility District imports water from Colorado River and the State Water Project. The imported water is delivered by the San Diego County Water Authority, which is the largest single customer of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. The district s potable water is treated at the Lake Skinner Filtration plant. Its delivers water to approximately 35,000 individuals over a more than 28,000 square feet of service area.
