The Professional Dance Center provides a faculty dedicated to teaching the joy of dance to all that come to learn. We have been training St. Louis' youth for over 50 years and our goal remains to provide a friendly, nuturing atmosphere where children of all ages will grow and develop into confident, dedicated performers. Whether a professional career is your goal, or simple enjoyment of movement, we are confident that you will find what you are seeking. Our faculty has a history of service to the children of our community and a commitment to teach in such a way that allows children at all levels to experience the fun of learning and the gratification of success. This means your children may join us at any point in their development and benefit from the years of experience unique to our dance studio. We embrace all the opportunities your children offer, whether to encourage a shy toddler to learn the first few steps in a dance routine or to delight with you that they have achieved a level of professionalism resulting in rewarding job opportunities and potential for college scholarships. Our dedicated staff truly desires to nurture a positive life experience for your children whether their age is two, six, or sixteen. Come join our family and watch as opportunities unfold for your children. All dancers enrolled during the Fall and Winter session at The Professional Dance Center are encouraged to participate in the annual recital, scheduled in June. Performing experiences are a vital piece to a dancers' training. The dancers perform on stage at a local auditorium for their families and friends. This is always a fun and exciting event! We understand the importance of children being able to show what they have learned and to do so in a friendly atmosphere among family and friends. The Professional Dance Center, therefore, provides unique opportunities to satisfy the desires for all levels of performers. Whether at the annual recital held at the end of the year, or the interim opportunities to participate in a holiday show and winter showcase ( including Christmas shows at the St. Louis Zoo, retirement communities, and selected malls in the St. Louis community ), the dancers at our studio can pursue creative interests and enhance their dance abilities. Additionally, our studio staff willingly custom-designs special programs to better serve our clientele. For example, the POMS & Dance Team classes are the result of a recognized need, as are our Week Day Preschool Program, Adult Fitness & Dance Program, Community Performance Programs, and our Competitive Dance Team. For the dancer who can't seem to get enough, there is opportunity to audition and become a member of Professional Dance Center Competition Company. Auditions are usually held near the end of every dance season. The group is currently composed of more than 100 dancers that perform and compete. The group has traveled to New York to dance on the stages of the Access Broadway National Competition in 2006, Providence, Rhode Island to attend the Headliners National Competition in July 2004 and danced on the stages of Disney World and Universal Studios. In 2008 the group attended the Star Systems National Competition in Nashville, Tennessee, where the team was awarded several, Platinum performances and Top Ten Rankings. In addittion the team came home with 2 Grand Championship Honors in the Junior Division, 1st Place ranking for the National Tapper by Miss Rainey Stippec in the Senior Division, and the Mr. Junior Super Star National Title by Keegan Ellis. In 2010 the group traveled to dance on the stages of Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. These experiences enrich their training, inspire their dedication and create some lifetime memories. Come and join the fun!

They obviously no nothing

Do not listen to these other comments about PDC I have been dancing there for 16years and have competed for 13 years, what I have seen is the kids that get "overlooked" don't work half as hard as the kids that are "favorites" when I was young I didn't get squat because all I did was joke around and no care but when I actually tried I got put into awesome things! And so what if you don't have a "dancers" body I can promise you I don't, they don't care as long as you put in the effort and dedication!!! And about reusing routines so what! Our old ones still bet your news ones, yeah, the director gets mad cuz obviously we didn't do our best and she pushes us because she knows we have more talent than what we showed on the stage!! This is the best studio around you just have to put fourth the effort and the dedication.
